We love taking great care of our patients, and utilizing the latest technology that dentistry has to offer allows us to do that. Take a look at some of the state-of-the-art equipment that Dr. Fields has invested in for our Cabot dental office, and learn more about how it benefits you.
3-D Cone Beam
Our 3-D Cone Beam imaging system truly allows us to provide a seamless experience for patients who are replacing missing teeth with dental implants. These detailed images help Dr. Fields determine the exact placement of your dental implant before your surgery even takes place. This makes the process the day of your surgery very efficient.
3-D images also allow us to see your jaw joint and identify any tumors or other areas of concern when needed.
Digital Impressions
If you've ever needed a dental crown in the past, you probably remember having a messy, goopy, uncomfortable impression taken of your tooth. Gone are those days! Digital impressions now allow us to scan your tooth and produce a 3-D image that helps us create a durable and aesthetic restoration that you can rely on.
With digital impressions, getting the dental restorations you need has never been more comfortable or convenient.
Electric Handpieces
Electric hand tools make the process of treating problems like broken teeth and cavities easy and efficient. They cause less vibration and are less noisy, so you don't have to endure many of the sounds that make going to the dentist difficult for some patients.
Nitrous Oxide
If you have ever felt nervous or fearful about visiting the dentist, you are not alone. Millions of Americans feel anxious about dental appointments, and sadly, it keeps a lot of them from getting the dental care they need.
At Patrick Fields, DDS, we offer nitrous ("laughing gas") to help our anxious patients feel at ease in the dental chair and "take the edge off" so they can complete the procedures they need for a healthy smile. Nitrous is a colorless, odorless gas delivered through an inhalation mask that you wear during your procedure. It works quickly to help you relax, and also leaves your system as soon as we remove the mask so that you can get back to your busy day.
If you feel like you might benefit from using nitrous oxide, please let your Cabot dental team know so we can make the appropriate arrangements at your next appointment.
